Every summer, we run an intern programme for engineering students. It gives up and coming engineers an opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience working in a production team.
The initiative helps us discover new talent who may later become employees and provides a few extra pairs of hands to help out with tasks. We provide our interns with a learning experience, giving them a chance to apply their knowledge and build transferable skills. We’ve interviewed mechatronics engineering students Stephanie Post (University of Canterbury) and Toby Ryder (The University of Auckland) to find out more about why they joined Boxfish Research as an intern.
