Boxfish Robotics at Marine Imaging Workshop 2024
We are excited to announce that Boxfish Robotics will be exhibiting at the Marine Imaging Workshop (MIW) 2024 together with Inspired Planet Production. Taking place from October 7-10 at the Monterey Conference Center in California, this event brings together leading scientists and engineers to showcase cutting-edge marine imaging technologies and discuss future innovations in the field.
The Marine Imaging Workshop is an important event for the marine science community, thats covers a wide range of topics, from image collection and processing to annotation and data management. The workshop provides a platform for making new connections, fostering innovation, inspiring the next generation of researchers, and identifying future needs for the industry.
At Boxfish Robotics, we are revolutionising underwater exploration by developing autonomous hovering systems. Our AUVs offer a powerful alternative for achieving high-resolution imagery comparable to that of scientific divers, while providing precise data collection without constant human intervention. These systems complement traditional methods, enabling longer, deeper dives and revealing new insights into marine ecosystems. We’re also excited to showcase our Boxfish Luna ROV, known for its outstanding image quality in a portable, compact design, alongside our Boxfish AUV.
We are proud to be collaborating with Inspired Planet Production, who recently released their highly anticipated documentary All Too Clear, filmed over two years using the Boxfish Luna for all underwater scenes. The film has been receiving excellent reviews across Canada! At MIW 2024, Inspired Planet Productions will present insights in a talk dedicated to ROVs for science and communication, highlighting the role our ROVs played in their project.
We invite all attendees to visit our stand at the Marine Imaging Workshop to learn more about our innovative products and how they can benefit your marine science projects. Our team and the team from Inspired Plane Production will be available to discuss how these innovative technology can be integrated into your research and monitoring programs.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Feel free to reach out in advance to organise a meeting or demonstration, our co-founder Craig Anderson will meet you at the stand to answer any questions you may have about our technology!
