Boxfish ROV’s highlights from the 2019 Antarctic season where Boxfish Research teamed up with Dr. Regina Eisert from the Top Predator Alliance to support her work studying the mammals in the Ross Sea region. The Boxfish ROV did 15 dives with a total of 21 hours underwater down to 210m and the full 440m of tether we had with us deployed. Our co-founder and mechanical engineer Ben piloted the ROV and learned a thing or two about videography along the way. The audio was recorded by off board sound traps.
All footage was shot exclusively on the Boxfish ROV under permit K070 2018/19.
